Trio =
(Piano, Bass, Drums) or (Bass,
Piano, Sax)
This size of ensemble
is perfect to provide music at a background level, which
is clearly audible, however does not interfere with the lively
conversations taking place between family and friends or colleagues.
The musicians have
honed their skills over many years of playing corporate, wedding and
military events, where the ability to play low level swinging music is
essential.
The MPR Jazz Trio
creates a relaxed and classy atmosphere which greatly enhances the
enjoyment of any meal or drinks reception.
Alternative Trio line
ups are available on request.
Quartet =
(Sax, Bass, Piano, Drums) or (Vocal,
Piano, Bass, Drums)
This is one of the
most versatile sizes of ensemble! Still perfectly at home playing at
background level as described in the Trio section, but
with the addition of the saxophone or vocalist, the quartet has
the ability to perform a fully blown Jazz gig to any size of audience.
Playing a set of
Jazz Standards fused if necessary with Funk, Soul and Blues tunes just
for good measure.
This ensemble is
perfect not only for functions such as corporate, wedding, birthday and
military but also as the main evening’s entertainment at any jazz club,
restaurant, venue or bar, providing a full concert for all music lovers.
A range of P.A. sizes
are available on request to cater for any size of event.
Alternative Quartet line ups are available on request.
Quintet =
(Vocal, Sax, Piano, Bass, Drums)
With the addition
of the vocals to the quartet, The MPR Jazz Quintet is able to play all
of the famous Swing Standards from Sinatra to Ella
Fitzgerald and very much more.
Now that Robbie
Williams has re-popularised the ‘Rat Pack’
repertoire with his number one hit “Have You Met Miss Jones”
this is the perfect time and ensemble to entertain any audience in
that style, through to more modern ballads and bossa novas from the
likes of Nora Jones and Diana Krall. Great
for functions such as corporate, wedding, birthday and military but also
as the main evening’s entertainment at any jazz club, restaurant, venue
or bar, providing a full concert for all music lovers.
A range of P.A. sizes
are available on request to cater for any size of event.

An example
of “The MPR Jazz Ensemble” Song list is below.
A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square
All blues
All of me
All the things you are
Angel eyes
Autumn leaves
Bewitched
Beautiful love
Black Orpheus
Blue bossa
Body and soul
Bye bye blackbird
Can’t get started
Cheek to cheek
Come fly with me
Desifanado
Don’t get around much anymore
Don’t worry about me
Drop me off in Harlem
Everything happens to me
Embraceable you
Exactly like you
Fly me to the moon
Foggy day
Gee baby ain’t I good to you
Georgia on my mind
Girl from impanema
Have you met Miss Jones
I got rhythm
I love you
I remember you
In a sentimental mood
It had to be you
I've never been in love before
Let there be love
Let’s fall in love
Like someone in love
Lover Man
Lullaby of Birdland
Misty
Moondance
My funny valentine
Night and day
On green dolphin street
One note samba
Our love is here to stay
So what
Softly as a morning sunrise
Someday my prince will come
Song for my farther
Stella by starlight
St. Thomas
Stormy Monday
Summertime
Takin' a chance on love
Take the A train
Take 5
Unforgettable
What is this thing called love
What’s new
You made me love you
You make me feel so young
And many more…………....... |
